I’m excited to share something extraordinary with you and I hope it’s something that you can experience with me!
We know the National Arts Centre (NAC) to be a cultural icon for the performing arts in Canada and I’m deeply proud to share with you that I have been appointed to the (NAC) Resident Chef Program
The program invites “promising culinary artists” to demonstrate their artistry and vision of what Canadian cuisine can be, providing access to all Canadians at this national stage. I’m incredibly excited to be collaborating with the NAC Head Chef Kenton Leier and the NAC departments to share my culinary perspective on this stage and for the learning and growth opportunity for me and my team.
I am pulling menu inspiration from my Trinbagonian heritage, my Embassy Chef Challenge dishes as well as some of my customer favourites.
I would like to extend an invitation to you to savour my menu at the NAC 1 Elgin restaurant between January 1 to March 1, 2025. Please also join me and Chef Kenton on January 9 as we cohost a special NAC Culinary ticketed event
I’m also deeply touched that my residency will take place during Black History Month in Canada, aligning the performance program with dining options.
I’m grateful to the NAC for this wonderful opportunity and for my family, friends, team, mentors, community, Algonquin College, and customers who support me on my journey.
Bon appetit!
